Letheringham Lodge Moat
Partial collapse of the brick wall on the inner side of the moat was a serious matter for this fourteenth century hunting lodge. It was necessary to use an aquadam and pump out part of the moat, to enable investigations to be undertaken and decisions made about the extent and nature of rebuilding. The walls were rebuilt to reflect the existing batter and curves, and consolidation of the outer banks of the moat was undertaken at the same time with a Conservation Contractor.
