Kersey Mill

The water mill at Kersey Mill was derelict for many years and at risk of being demolished.

A sympathetic new owner has provided a much better future of the overall site, and made possible many repairs to the mill so that it now runs again. The first phase of these repairs was restructuring the main frame, which had been badly affected by water ingress following theft of part of the lead roof. This involved heavy carpentry works and the replacement of flooring and stair-ladders, and the success of that work has meant that the hurst frame has been reordered and the main shaft is turning once more.
