Gransden Post Mill

Gransden Post Mill and its open trestle were repaired in the 1970s but on a very tight budget meaning that much of the buck framing had been reconstructed in softwood, which with the weatherboarding were in increasingly poor condition.  The decision was made to undertake wide-ranging repairs which involved strengthening the frame and rebuilding much of it in oak, together with renewing the weatherboarding which was finished in pitch.
