Clare Castle

Serious loss of the flint facing to the top of the remains of Clare Castle were leading to concern about the future of this important ruin, and consolidation of the tower and the walls was becoming urgent. A large volume of flint was reconstructed, following the existing profile as closely as possible with the use of a jig.
